At Sensor King, we are committed to solving the most challenging and innovative automotive sensor issues. Our particulate matter (PM) sensor exemplifies our engineering and sourcing expertise. We are proud to be one of the few suppliers offering a fully compliant, plug-in PM sensor aftermarket solution in today’s market. Through our innovation, we deliver real value to our customers.
Particulate matter (PM) sensors are designed for modern diesel vehicles to estimate the soot levels in the diesel particulate filter (DPF) and monitor excessive PM emissions. Installed downstream of the DPF, these sensors help control and diagnose emission systems by utilizing DPF regeneration strategies to ensure proper function. When DPF failure leads to excess PM emissions, the sensor triggers an OBD fault signal. The PM sensor operates by measuring the resistance of soot particles collected on an electrode. The sensor self-regenerates through heating before each measurement, ensuring accuracy. It is compatible with both passenger and commercial vehicles, and can be easily installed using a retaining screw. The regeneration temperature reaches approximately 800℃.
